Tint shades
Try Union shades from 5% to 70% in the viewer, see how dark each one looks, then talk it through with the Norco shop before anything goes on the glass.
Shade viewer
Drag across the glass to see the tint land, then step through the shades: the number is the share of light that gets through, so 5% is the darkest and 70% the lightest, and a screen only gets close, because your glass, the daylight and your paint all change the look. In California, behind the driver any shade is allowed when the car has mirrors on both sides, the front side windows take clear UV film that still turns away heat, and the windshield takes a sun strip across the top. And darker isn’t cooler: the shade is about looks and privacy, the film decides the heat.
In California, every shade here works on the rear side windows and the back window (with mirrors on both sides), the front side windows take clear UV film that still turns away heat, and the windshield takes a sun strip across the top.

Visible privacy, serious heat control and a factory look on the rear glass.
Our films
Both films block 99.99% of UV, and shades run from 5% to 70%. The difference is heat. Carbon IR blocks up to 75% of infrared heat and 61% of total solar energy; Ceramic IR goes further, with up to 87% and 65%. Choose the shade for looks and privacy, then the film for how cool you want the cabin.

The most heat we can block
Carbon with a ceramic layer on top for the strongest heat rejection Union makes — the one to choose when the Inland Empire sun is the problem.

From darkest to lightest: 5%, 15%, 20%, 35%, 50% and 70%. Darker shades give more privacy, lighter ones keep a factory look, and we make sure the front windows stay legal.
In California, the front side windows can only take clear UV film, which still cuts heat, and the rear side windows and back window can take any shade. We check the law for your car before we start.
Yes, if heat matters to you. Ceramic film keeps more heat out without having to look darker: Union Ceramic IR blocks up to 87% of infrared heat, against 75% for Union Carbon IR.
Keep them up for 3 to 5 days while the film dries, and wait a week before cleaning the inside of the glass. Use a soft cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner.
