Headlight & Taillight Tinting in Norco, CA
Light, medium or dark smoke film for a sharper look, made to let brake lights shine through — and removable without harming the lens.
Headlight & taillight tint
What is headlight and taillight tint?
Headlight and taillight tint is a film laid over the outside of the lens — not paint and not a spray — so it changes the look without touching the light itself. It’s a quick way to sharpen a car’s style, from a subtle light smoke to a deep dark smoke. We use film made for lights rather than cheap vinyl, so brake lights still show clearly when you press the pedal.
California is strict about lights. Film over headlights isn’t street-legal on a car registered in California, and taillights and brake lights must still show clearly red — the details are on our tint-law page. For safety, brake lights also need to stay easy to see, which is why we choose film that lets them shine through. Tell us how you use the car and we’ll talk through the options before anything is fitted.

Why tint your lights
What to know about tinted lights
Smoked lights are one of the quickest ways to change a car’s style. Here’s what to know first.

Three smoke levels
Light smoke takes the shine off the lens for a subtle look, medium goes a step further, and dark smoke gives the boldest blacked-out finish. We’ll help you choose the level that suits the car and how you use it.

Brake lights that show
Some tints look good parked but mute the brake lights when you need them most. The films we use are made so brake lights shine clearly through, which is a safety point we don’t compromise on.

California’s lighting rules
Any film over a headlight isn’t street-legal on a California-registered car, and taillights must still show clearly red from a distance. What makes sense for your car depends on the light, the shade and how the car is used, so we talk it through first.

Comes off cleanly
The film can be removed later without damaging your headlights or taillights, so the car can go back to its stock look when you sell it or simply change your mind. Bring it to us and we’ll take it off.

A quick change
Few changes alter a car’s look as much as smoked lights for so little time in the shop. It pairs well with window tint when you want the whole car to look matched and finished.

Nothing sprayed or painted on
The film goes over the outside of the lens; nothing is sprayed or painted on. That also means it can’t fix a cloudy, yellowed or cracked lens — the lens under the film is the one you already have.
Side by side
How taillight and headlight tint differ
Smoke reads very differently on the back of a car than on the front. Here’s the honest split.
Taillights
- Light, medium or dark smoke
- Brake lights shine through our film
- Must still show their required color
- Comes off cleanly if you change your mind
Headlights
- Film over headlights isn’t street-legal in California
- Clear lenses keep the light bright and white
- Talk it through before any film goes on
- Same clean removal as the taillights

We clean the lenses
Each lens is washed and cleaned so the film bonds to a clean, dust-free surface.

We fit the film and check your brake lights
At our Norco shop, the film is shaped to each lens and trimmed at the edges, then we check the brake lights with you.

Looking after the film
Wash gently and keep pressure washers back from the film edges. If you want the film off later, we can remove it.

Read our reviews on GoogleBefore and After Tint Monsters (Norco) is the real deal. I was taken care of on the spot without an appointment. Once the vehicle was brought inside it finished within an hour. The price was very reasonable and they don't try to upsale you on what you don't want/need. Adriana took as much time as necessary to help me figure out the best option. I'll bring in my next ride. LJ
I HIGHLY recommend going tint monsters if you want fast and quality work, they had my big suburban done in 2 hours. There prices are also very reasonable! i will be taking all my future cars here no doubt!
I've been coming here for years and they never disappoint. The staff is genuinely friendly, the service is quick, and the prices are fair. They take the time to do it right without upselling. Highly recommend. You should be able to highlight and paste that. Let me know if you need a shorter one.
Do I need to say anything?! Just look how attractive my Bronco looks now!!! I found Tint Monsters on Google and I thought it was the best decision! The customer service is 10/10, they have a waiting area as well, they finished at a reasonable time. I have no regrets and would recommend everyone who needs a tint to come here! Thank you Tint Monsters for your awesome work 😏
Just want to say this place performance and quality work is top notch, very satisfied with the tint they did on my 2026 Nissan Pathfinder, highly recommend this place.
It depends on the vehicle and how many lights you’re doing — a pair of taillights is a shorter job than every light on the car. We always put quality ahead of speed, so call us on (951) 430-3553 with your year, make and model and we’ll give you a time frame for your car.
Yes. We don’t use cheap vinyl. The films we fit are made so brake lights shine clearly through, even with a smoked look, because a brake light that can’t be seen is a safety problem, however good it looks parked.
It depends on the light, the shade you choose and how the vehicle is used. California doesn’t allow film or covers over the headlights of a car registered here, and taillights and brake lights must still show clearly red — taillights visible from 1,000 feet, brake lights from 300 feet — so the darker smokes suit show cars more than daily drivers. If the car is your daily driver, talk to us before you pick a shade. The full rules for lights are on our tint-law page.
No. The films we use come off without damaging your headlights or taillights. If you want to go back to the stock look — before selling the car, for example — bring it in and we’ll remove the film for you rather than you picking at it at home.
Headlights and taillights. If you’d like other lenses done, ask us and we’ll tell you what suits your vehicle. Remember the film goes over the lens you already have, so it won’t fix a lens that is cloudy, yellowed or cracked.
Light smoke is the subtle option and dark smoke the boldest look, with medium in between. It comes down to the look you want and how you use the car — and remember that film over the headlights isn’t street-legal in California. We’ll help you choose.
